Roadtrip - part two

Another day at the road! Our second day of the road-trip took us to Tampere. A city that is places more up north. And again, a two hour drive to get there. I felt a little tired, but got more awake with Emma singing next to me.

The drive to Tampere was a long one. It was one straight way for over a 100 km and there were not that much other cars. The surroundings were still beautiful and a little white so that made it a little better.
When we finally arrived at Tampere we thought we deserved something warm to drink. We ended up in this Bunny cafe. You can sit in a room with some bunny's and pet them, while drinking your drink. We choose some hot choco and went downstairs to spend some times with these cute bunny's.

After a while it was time to explore Tampere some more and find some nice spots to take some photo's. I don't know why, but this day was just not our day. We weren't in the mood to search the best places and just walked around for a bit and do some shopping.

We expected something more from Tampere because everyone was so excited about it. Maybe it was caused by all of the road construction that they are doing now, but we didn't really felt it.

Nevertheless we had a nice day and enjoyed ourselves like we always do. We bought this towel for in the sauna, because finally the day will come that I will spend some time there. ESN is organizing a Christmas-sauna-thing, so Emma and I will go there. I will let you know how it was!

Another thing that we finally did was eating at Heshburger. Heshburger is a big thing here in Finland and is similar to McDonalds. We ate this chicken burger and some fries, and came to the conclusion that it just tasted the same as the McDonalds one and that it was not that spectacular. But hey, we did something Finnish again.

After walking around for a bit we bumped into a little Christmas market and looked around there. They were selling all kinds of warm socks and there was also a chocolate shop. Heaven to Emma and me.

It was already getting a little dark again, so it was time to go back to the garage where we parked the car. The weekend wouldn't be completed if we didn't got lost again, so that is what we did.
Eventually we found the place and we could start hiding back to Turku.

On our way back we did some grocery shopping and it was really nice that for once we could do this with the car, instead of taking all our stuff into the bus.

We decided that it would be nice to finish our road-trip weekend at my favorite Italian restaurant in Turku. We both had this delicious dish and after we stuffed ourselves it was time to get the car back.

We had to return the car with a full tank, so we had to get some fuel first. This worked a little different than that I'm used to. You have to select the amount of money you want to spend and according to the price of the fuel, that will be the amount of fuel you will get. I'm not that got with car's so I had to guess how much we needed to put in. But after two attempts the tank was full again and we could hand it over to the rental place.

I really enjoyed this weekend so much and had so much fun being on the road again with Emma by my side.

With finishing this weekend, our last month here in Finland has also started... It's so weird that we are already here for three months and that we will go home soon. The time went by so fast, it's crazy.
We have some more trips to fill up our last weeks here, so we will not be bored at all!

Nähdään!
